Scope of work

  • Slab prepped and coated
  • Broadcast flake and clear topcoat
  • New circuits run
  • Recessed lighting installed
  • Insulation to the exterior walls
Two-car garage with a new grey flake epoxy floor, exposed insulation and new recessed lighting

01 · The challenge

A garage slab is the worst-prepared surface in the building. Sealed, stained, and often still holding moisture from the ground under it. A coating put straight onto it lifts in sheets inside a year.

02 · What we did

The slab was prepped mechanically before anything was poured onto it, then base-coated, flake broadcast to refusal and locked down under a clear topcoat. Electrical was run and lighting set while the walls were still open, because that is the only cheap time to do it.

03 · The result

A sealed, cleanable floor that takes a hot tyre without lifting, and a space wired and lit for what it is about to become rather than for parking.
