01 · The challenge

Refinishing in place means the room is still a room. Floors, counters, appliances and an open plan living space all had to be protected from overspray, and the client kept using the kitchen while the doors were out being sprayed.

02 · What we did

Doors and fronts came off and were numbered so every one went back to the opening it was hung in. Boxes were masked, degreased, sanded and primed in place. Finish coats were sprayed rather than brushed, which is the entire difference between a refinish and a repaint.

03 · The result

A factory-grade finish on the cabinets that were already there, at a fraction of replacement, with the hardware reset so the doors sit on a consistent reveal.
